Got my refurb laptop, what should I do now?

Thread Starter
Just got my refurbished m140 today, and I was wondering what I needed to check for to make sure its in good condition. It appears to be in excellent condition--no scratches, dents, or visible use. I'm also intrested in learning what type of screen I have. It said on my packing slip Quanta, but I remember reading somebody's post earlier about that just being a chassis or something.

What would you suggest i do to this laptop? (drivers, format, delete programs, etc.)

ps. i'm loving the battery life on this bad boy. haha, I'm getting about 4hrs and 15 minutes on this 6-cell.

download powerstrip...otherwise download all the drivers that you will need from dell.com before formatting...also look up how to use media direct cuz that will be formatted. And too bad I didn't like the screen otherwise I would've kept the m140.

I didn't format mine, I just uninstalled all the garbage apps. I then explored around and deleted what was left over manually then ran System Mechanics registry cleaner and defragmented, everything is running nice and fast.

Dell sure does include a pile of crappy software with their PC's that's for sure.
