Locked GPU

When gaming, I get around 60 fps in WoW although I have a 7900GTX. A friend tells me that i's because the GPU is factory locked not to exceed certain performance. Is this true? How can I change this?

not that the GPU is locked by factory, its that the GPU is locked by the software (WoW in this case). its called VSync, locks maximum framerate to the vertical refresh rate of the screen to avoid wasteful processing of frames that can't be seen in the first place

I dont know about WoW, but normally programs have VSync as a toggle-able feature.

It does but it only raises it up to 64 fps dont you think I should get more with a 512 card?

All I can think of is to check if it unchecked in the Nvidia options. Maybe someone will have an idea (conda will be back dont worry)

It can be turned on in one of 2 places, the nvidia drivers on in-game settings. You will have to check both.
