With the 8886 drivers I got 933 with 3dmark03 with the ati3.1 drivers I got 916, and with these drivers I got 842. I guess I am sticking with the 8886 drivers.

I say just use the factory drivers. They are stable and reliable.

You can try around different ones to see which one works best for you. There are the sager ones, s-seven ones, the ones on the CD(factory), ATI non-Catalyst, ATI-Catalyst, DX8, DX9, a hacked one, and maybe some others.

Cheers.

I don't understand what's the reason to make so much noise about those impressive features in every next ATI's GPU and keep yelling about it in every review, if at the end half of them don't work.Try to imagine! I read advertising or review and say: "Whoa!!! This is a beast! "POWERPLAY", "Smart shaders", "ZOOM", "Smoothvision" i want this card!!! This is something i can work with!" Then i spend time, finding machine equipped with this card, buy it and..... Wh-o-ops! "ZOOM" disabled, "POWERPLAY" disabled, "Smart shaders'', i even don't know what does it look like and so on. It feels like i was pissed off! What i paid money for? Does anybody know where to find NORMAL driver with all these damn toys enabled!

Actually, a lot of those things DO work, and ARE enabled, it's just that the drivers don't provide an interface to tweak/alter the settings. That doesn't mean you are not getting the benefit of them, though.

Cheers.

Actually the only thing disabled is powerplay, because it involves changing voltages, which some manufactures may opt to not enable due warranty issues.
Smoothvision can be used when playing a video (i think its also the anti alias of the radeon) AND the shaders work with dx8 enabled games, those shaders increase performance and beautiness to your directx8 game (the radeon 9000 is the only one that supports then in a mobile form factor, other gpus just emulate the shaders, being of course not of the same visual quality, and the of course slow down your non-shader support card.

Hope i was clear :/

Oh the zoom feature...do you really need it? there are several programs out there that support resolution changing hotkeys, which include powerstrip and rage3d i believe.

Personally i have never used hotkeys to change the resolution, but i think thats up to personal taste.

At least two of them exactly mean "tweak/alter the settings or it make no sense. I'm talking about "ZOOM" and "POWERPLAY". If it's enabled, how i can turn on an interface?

Well, I didn't say they ALL worked. As Zachquiel said, the ZOOM hotkey thing can be done with a program, and as far as Poweplay goes, well, that's just too bad. But it's not as if ATI is selling you an incomplete lemon, though.

Cheers.

So this new scaler algorithm is enabled? Reading people's reviews and comments it doesn't appear to be. This was suppose to address the problem of running the screen in non-native resolution.

It's hard to say, as there is no way to compare really. I mean, since it doesn't appear to be toggle-able.

Cheers.

YES! THIS is enabled! That's only thing i can prove. I've tested two laptops face to face. My neighbor's Sony with ATI 7500 and my Sager 5660. The difference is noticeable from the first sight.
