XPS M140 - Does this LCD have truelife?

Hi all.
Received an XPS M140 I ordered from the outlet with the following:

Pentium M 740
1 Gig RAM
CDRW/DVD
Dell 1370
9 cell battery
60 Gig 5400
$555.92 tax and shipping included

Very happy with it. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if my LCD came with truelife. Invoice says: "WD372 Module, Liquid Crystal Display 14.1WXGA, GWVA, Quanta Display Incorporated, A/D".

The description online when I bought it from the outlet states it has truelife. Just wanted to make sure since I can't find the word "truelife" anywhere on the invoice.

Planning on doing a re-install once I verify everything is as stated and in working order.

Thanks.

I don't know by the specs you quoted but if you got truelife you will know it...I have it and I really like it....but sometimes it is better than a mirror....

I can't stand the mirror factor of the truelife screen.

if you don't see the word truelife anywhere then no you don't have it.

You've got the Quanta screen. Forget the truelife, just be damn happy you got that display. Jump up and down a couple of times for good measure.

I got a Quanta screen too on my laptop for $449. Woohoo!

Needless to say, I like it.

Well confirmed that I have a quanta lcd according to powerstrip. Still not 100% sure if I have truelife or not. The screen does look like a mirror. Similar to the one in my m700. Multiple calls to dell tech support were not helpful at all. Even they cannot confirm if the screen I have has truelife or not.
Does the M140 come with "matte" screens? And are the mirror like screens truelife?
Oh, finished my re-install also. Plus I swapped the processors from my m700 and the M140 and did the pinmod on the M140. The m700 now runs at 1.3 and the M140 at 2.13. AS3 on both. Noticeable difference in speed and benchmarks are significantly higher in 3dmark 2001 and PCmark 2002.
Thanks for all the replies. Still looking for a definitive answer though.

M140 has truelife, which is glossy/mirror/glare, not matt/antiglare.

If it looks like a mirror, then it's Truelife. Personally, I don't like those screens because of glare, though in perfect indoor settings, I will admit that it looks pretty good. I just prefer matte.

What kind of processor did you have in the 700?

my guess is a 1.7 or 1.6 400fsb processor

1.6 400Mhz FSB.
Thanks. I really like the screen. That settles it then. Truelife it is.

However, the screen is different between the 700m and the M140, they are made by different manufacturers. So don't plan on getting the EXACT same quality screen as your 700m
