damn the financial motivation.
I could see a better video card in a 15-14" laptop, but you're not going to see any real "gaming" video cards in a 12" form factor anytime soon for two major reasons:
1. They require a LOT of power. The M1210 reportedly gets around 4-4.5 hours with the 9-cell battery which sticks out of the back with the 7400....it would either need a battery that's half the size of the laptop to get the same time it would with the 7400, or only get about 2-2.5 hours.
2. They generate a LOT of heat. As you can imagine, there's not a lot of wasted space in a tiny laptop that can be used to sufficiently cool hot running components. I wouldn't want an ultraportable if it meant that the fan would be on full blast 100% of the time and be loud...and also burn your hands to type on.
until GPU manufacturers can resolve these issues, you will not see it happen.
