Some questions about purchasing a dell desktop/notebook

1) can i use school discount/ employee discount on dell outlet purchases - on desktop/lcd?

2) if i purchase a laptop from dell. can i use the current coupon's plus use my school and employee discount?

and i dont like the system are dell picky on restocking fees and/or shipping charges?

1) I have never seen a student/EPP discount for use in the outlet. That's not to say they don't exist, but I'm an EPP member and I have never received one. So if they do, I don't know how you would get one, or where you could use it. Dell.com/outlet/epp isn't a valid address; so I seriously doubt that you could use one.

2) No. You can either go through dell.com/epp or the dell home website. No coupons are compatible with both websites. In most cases, you can get a better deal going through EPP because they generally have % off coupons that can be stacked with a $ off or another smaller % off coupon. You also get the basic EPP discount which is 4-12% depending on the warranty that you get with the system.

I had the same question and called and asked last week....

No they wont let you use your EPP discount in the outlet.

No, they are not "picky", they will charge you 15% on the system plus you'll pay return shipping and the initial shipping.
