Is this a good deal? This notebook on the dell website would cost probably $2250 USD.

Any tips on bidding? Thanks.

Bid at the end and see if it is in your price range but i probally would buy from dell,

It's an amazing deal, perhaps too good. Low feedback too.

That's what I plan to do. Why would you buy from Dell instead? Technical support in case something goes wrong?

Too good to be true? I am getting that feeling too. What do you guys think? Should I go ahead with it and try to bid?

Well if you do end up buying and it sucks... i'll drive to St Pete for you and kick his/her ass

Just use a credit card with paypal to pay for it. If something goes wrong you can get your money back.

I bought a Sony Vio 4 or 5 years ago on ebay for about 1200 less than going prices. I got my laptop brand new and it was perfect for many years until I sold it back on ebay.

Not all good deals are scams.

Ohh and this still is warrented from Dell. I wouldn't worry about that part.

that laptop is gonna end at like $1500usd.. tahts too good if you ask me...

if its legit, you bet that there will be snipers..

It's going to be hard to win that auction because there will be a lot of last-minute bidders. There used to be a website that would submit your bid at 2 seconds before the auction ends, but i forgot it :/ Maybe run a google search and put your ABSOLUTE HIGHEST BID at 2s before closing. Just don't make it too high because you might get the shaft :P

Anyways, I generally don't like buying stuff on eBay because of the scammers. If you do buy something, however, DO pay with a Credit Card so you can issue a chargeback if warranted.

i hope you didn't win it. It may be legit, but a 'great deal' on an expensive item from an ebayer with low feedback (like say 14, all within the past month or two) is too risky for me. If the item was $20, I may consider it, but ebay is too riddled with scammers for me to trust with that much money.

I didn't buy it. Didn't even bid. The final price is still well below going prices. But like jmmmmm said, it's too much money to risk. Hopefully better deals will come along. This is not the end of the world, is it guys?
