Is there ANY way for me to manipulate my gpu fan without this terribly buggy program (for e1705)????? I swear, it shuts down ALL the time... ARGH!!!

Can you actually read? That program is a great program, but is not prepared to work with core duo as yet! You shouldn't install it on your system until they release the next build! It's very clearly written on the program's website!

Many people are using i9kfangui even though it doesn't officially support the e1705s. Btw, your tone sucks cabron.

Have I insulted you? I don't think so!. So please don't insult me, ok?. I'm just telling you it is not fair you to say a program sucks when you are actually advised before you download it that the program doesn't support core duo and as such it won't work correctly on your system. Is it too much to ask to wait until they release the next build?

Beta 4 has the ability to keep the fan speed at max - it at least supplements the problem a bit

Only a matter of time before you are red... i9kfangui is a great program. Unless you can write better code than spuds can, keep your mouth shut and be grateful the guy is working on supporting laptops that he does not personally own. He could have just made it and kept it for himself. Maybe you should try contacting him and letting him know the problems you are experiencing.

To you my friend, I recommend taking a few bottles of chill pills and mellow out some. once you calm down a bit, reevaluate your situation and think it through without exploding or having an aneurysm. Be patient and calm and things will work out for you. Oh and by telling the program you hate it, you're just going to make it angry. It has more power than you think. Dont mess with it your it'll get back at you.

That's really all I want- is this available for download? I don't really care about temp sensors and stuff, just want to be able to set gpu fan to high when I'm playing.

As for the self-righteous, of course this was a passionate scream of frustration and I am extremely grateful for the program. It's just frustrating... but apparently the self-righteous looking down on me from their pedestal feel warranted in their attacks on my all-too-human moment of frustration.

No, they're not attacking, they're defending because you felt the need to insult the hard work of a man that supports the program.

Like I've said in the past, some people give a damn about this community and for you to blatantly disregard the goodness left in it warrants your attacking.

As stated on my site, dual core laptops are not yet supported. I've been swamped lately and haven't had time to make any progress with i9kfangui, but I haven't forgotten about it.

Never fear, updates are coming, dual core will work. Getting to that takes two things I don't have at the moment.. 1) a dual core laptop to test it under (i can work around that with a debug build).. and 2) time..

I've even got a Linux guru that's going to assist with a linux port as well.
