Hello, all.
I am having a problem with a Samsung Syncmaster 242MP 24" LCD monitor. It is currently hooked up to a Dell Precision Workstation running a 128MB Nvidia Quadro FX540 using a regular VGA connection. The OS is Windows XP Pro 64 bit edition.
For some weird reason the monitor does not want to work in its native resolution of 1920 x 1200. We have tried several of the Forceware drivers including the original from the Dell website, the original from Nvidia's site and some from Guru 3D.
The ones from Guru 3D seem to crash the display and it goes completely black. The only way to get back in is to reboot.
We were able to get it to 1680xsomething res, but we are hoping to get it running at its full resolution.
Anyone else having this problem with larger LCD's have any solutions.
Thanks.
