Does it happen all the time? I play WoW (on wireless exclusively) and never have problems. But yesterday, my server had to be restarted because of lag and disconnect issues. Maybe it was just that?

Many things could be effecting this. One common thing is if you play on high load servers in wow (you should list which server your playing on) you can get randomly disconnected. Another is if another user is trying to login to your account you will be disconnected. I would change your password and see if that changes it. Lastly its usually just network latency from your ISP call them up and see if theres any problems lately.

as far i know that my server's population is around like mid, not full loaded all the time, in addition, i never give my acct info to others. last, the thing makes me mad is that my gf plays WoW with me understand same connection, but she is totally fine, and i didnt have this connection problem when i use desktop. therefore, i really dont have a clue what is wrong with it. i have tried to reinstall windows, but that didnt help. im so confused.

If your connection works with your desktop, and you are using your wired LAN into your laptop when you do play, there is most likely just a problem with your NIC. Try doing other things with that connection through your nic. If it's just WoW, then it's probably just a server issue. Contact Blizzard and see if there has been any strange activity on your account.

Even though you don't give out your password, you could still have someone trying to gain access to your account. Often times users overlook the obvious and use the same username and password on forums, game id, back accounts etc.

Lets say I use bigfatdummy as my username and then pwd as my password. I register on a fansite, this forum, the game, my email, work, etc with that same combination. I have seen many many times where a fansite looks up user id's and passwords in their DB and steal the accounts from players. One game Runescape is famous for this happening to players. People log into someones account and transfer all the items onto another account via the trade feature. The next day the original user logs in and they have been robbed. Even if you use that Password on another account its not hard for someone to make a connection. I play as User1, register as bigfatdummy and use the same password for both. Someone could easily make the connection between the 2 UID's and log in as you. I ALWAYS suggest using a password that is specific to the game you are playing. Something like PasswordWOW or PasswordCS is simple and you can add to that to make it very hard to crack.

The issue is with Wow, not your laptop.

This happens just almost everyone that plays WoW, at one point or another.

Especially since the 1.10 patch.
