I want to try some Vista transformation pack, basically just for fun. Anybody has a suggestion for a free software that is good in this regard. But I don,t want system slow down.
I have found 2 on softpedia and both are free.

Vista transformation pack3 http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...ion-Pack.shtml
Longhorn trasformation pack 10.5 http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...sforming.shtml

Anybody tried these or some other one. Sorry if I have repeated the thread. I did a quck search and did not find any thing.
Thanks.

Never really bother with making things look nice...really could care less. Not worth the time/system resources.

i used something like this once, i believe it was stardock...looks sweet with custom xp boot screen, start menu and all that jazz...slowed my computer down like a mofo though. I wouldn't recommend them

UXTheme Patcher doesn't effect your system resources at all. Using third party software such as StyleXP or Stardock products does however. UXTheme Patcher patches Windows system files, enabling you to drag and drop theme files into C:\\Windows\\Resources\\Themes dir. and then changing them through Desktop > Properties > Appearance. This way nothing out of the ordinary is running the background to enable this theme.

grab the appropriate uxtheme file from here: http://www.anti-tgtsoft.com/repository/uxtheme/
and download a copy of replacer: http://www3.telus.net/_/replacer/
extract the contents of replacer to an empty folder. run replacer.cmd and drag in the original uxtheme.dll, then drag in the modified uxtheme.dll that you downloaded, and let it replace the file. reboot when prompted.

With a little modification it worked but still to play with it. Thansk. Also this-
