What is the best wirless MiniPCI card

Hi guys

Sorry to start this discussion again but I have to ask. What is the best wireless card in terms of range and stuff.
As I have a 8600 one of those high power cards won't fit correctly as I cannot close the hatch anymore.
I have a Intel 2200BG right now and sometime I think the range just sucks. I also read that the Atheros chip based cards are better is that true?
And if yes which cards are those. I think the Gigabyte is one right?

Any suggestiosn or links would be great

You can also buy portable range extending antennas to increase your existing wifi cards range and potency. I reccomend the one they sell at CompUSA for roughly 20 dollars which includes the SMC connectors for your wifi card. Since the door is open like you say then it wont be much of a hassle.

Actually you must have misread, my door is NOT open.

I was just asking what card has a better range then mine with the internal antennas.
Oh and I live in Germany so I should be able to get it here.

Any further answers would be great.

Is the tool that comes with the card as good as the INTEL one as I like to manage my profiles this way and I don't like the windows tool.

Oh I just assumed when you said "I cannot close the hatch anymore" you meant the hatch that covers the wifi card. I still reccomend the antenna since it will be miles better than any wifi card you can buy internally due to the the limited range of the internal antennas.

Well, it's up to You to decide...My's other way around - I don't like any tools at all, I prefer this windoofs built in wifi process but I never had better ranges, no matter is it an intel bg/abg, texas inst., any other atheros, etc.
