Now when I say "suggested," don't take this as an endorsement by either myself or Dell. Promise just tends to not make CRAP, whereas Silicon Image's stuff can be iffy.

SATA300 TX4302

It's a non-RAID low-profile adapter, but it supports both TCQ and NCQ. Also, if you could figure out how to snake the internal cables out without damaging the D-Dock too much, you could connect up to four drives using SATA-to-eSATA cables, or even use one of the internal cables to connect an SATA DVD burner in the mounting area for disc-to-disc copies using an ATA interface vs. USB2.0/1394.

The best thing has to be the fact that it's not a Silicon Image controller.

Bad news for all you Docked 1710 and M90 owners - no news or listings for this yet...seems to be rather new.
