3200 or 3400?

What are the differences? Are the two inches worth the extra half a pound?

I am looking for something portable, yet cost friendly. All of the other laptop brands, the laptop is either crappy and underpowered, or WAY too expensive for me.. I am trying to keep the price $1200<

I am looking at getting a Sentia 3200 with these specs:

1.73 Pentium M
1 year service plan
1 gig ram
b/g wireless card
80 gig HD
CD/DVD burner
extra battery

All of this for $1,427. Is this work it? Is there something better I could get for this price? I don't want to waste my money..I am a college student, I can't afford to make a bad decision that is going to cost me this much...

Hello BowevelJoe:

I own a 3200 and it is really cool - especially because it is nice and small. (review and pics below)

However, I just had to replace my girlfriend's computer, which was an unplanned purchase ( ). I decided to go with the Dell XPS M140, which has very similar specs and was very reasonably priced (starting at $649). I have not received it yet (tomorrow), but if you are looking for a good deal, you may want to check it out.

Forgive me for posting about Dell in the Alienware forum...

Cheers!

wow, that dell weighs like 6 pounds, that is way over what I wanted it to weigh..but the innards look very nice indeed for the price they are asking

For portablitities sake, I'd get the 12 inch....if a lil extra weight and size isn't that big of deal to you jump on up to the 5500.

Yeah, it is, I am definantly not going any higher than 5 on the dot, anything more than that is pushing it
