Well, I finally got my new toy!!!!!

E1705 1.8 duo core, 1 gig 633mhz, 80gig 5400, 8x DVD Dual Layer,
7800 go nvidia, bluetooth, intel wireless, upgraded screen w/truelife,

I am troubled by the heat buildup. When sitting on your lap, on the right hand side, top of the keyboard area. It seems to get really hot.

Graphics/Screen look very sharp
I have gone thru and disabled several of the factory programs at startup, and removed some of the other junk.

Has anyone had any issues with the dvd burner not burning to specs?

Any other tips for increasing speed

Mine get warm in that area. I would not call it hot. I don't game though. A reformat is better than just removing junk.

It's the video card. The Go7800 is known for serious heat buildup. Either complain for a Rev2 card or wait until the 7900GS is available and claim your laptop is dead and you want a replacement. The Go7900GS may not make it into the 9400 until Q4 when Dell releases the Merom refresh of the Inspiron line.
