ttt.... i checked out sony but only found screens with 1200*800, that seems a little low for defualt res, i was looking more along the lines of 1440*900 or 1680*1050 max

alienware, abs, msi, averetec, im talking out of any notebook, who has the best in regards to

1 responce time
2 picture quality
3 virbrance of colors
4 brightness
5 veiwing angles

and a glossy screen for better contrast in images will fit the bill.

so any other sugestions?

Check out the Fujitsu glossy screen models. The new Lifebook E 82xx looks very nice, spec-wise.

but its a 17".....im looking for the best 15.4" screen, is the a certain brand screen that stands aboave the rest? i know some people on here knows somthing and can help me. are there any current notebook screen reviews around the web?

This notebook has one the best screen if not the best. One of the main reason I bought this notebook. IPS is rarely implemented into any notebook and there was only a limited number of v6va so it was grab it while you can. It makes viewing angles unbelievable, more or less 180 degrees both horizontal and vertical. The resolution is 1400*1050... Unfortunately its not widescreen 15.4 what you looking for. This screen is rumoured also to be in the Lamborghini which is so sweet! I can't wait if thats the case...

It's a very well-known fact that fujitsu laptops have faaaaar away better screens than any other laptop (and maybe desktop lcds also)... If your concern is the screen quality then do yourself a favour and get a fujitsu, you'll be very surprised by how vivid the colors are, how bright the screen is, and the fact that you can look up the screen from virtually ANY angle and see no difference in colors and clarity. the link above link to one of the few fujitsu laptop that you can configure to have sxga resolution (1050 x 1680)

how so? i just check the link, seems they dont release any info about the screen exept that 15.4" Crystal View WXGA or WSXGA+ display

Maximum internal display: XGA 1280 x 800, or SXGA+ 1680x1050, 16M colors

is the wsxga+ a glossy screen?

imhoping to find a screen with specssimilar to this:
Native resolution 1440 x 900
Contrast 600: 1
Brightness 330 Nits
Latency 8 ms
Colors 16.2 M

can anyone vouch for this? fujitsu screens are the best? do they have a model that has specs like the ones i just listed?
the E820 screen has 370 nits, 600-1 contrast ratio.. try to call fujitsu to get other info
for the viewing angle.. all the fujitsu laptops I tried have almost 180 degree viewing angles.. In my n6410 I've never ever wanted to reach out and adjust my lcd position.. and if I look in 170 degree the only difference would be a very light yeloowish hue... but to make things clear.. I've never seen the e8210.. but most probably it will be the same..
