Old flatbed scanner & my modern laptop?

I was given a nice monster of a flatbed scanner, which was made back when you could drop it & still expect it to work.
But it has a SCSI (?) cable plug on the back...the one with 25 pins or holes.
I have a giant box of cables, so I can definitely find one that will fit it, but can that be hooked to my laptop at all?

Small Computer System Interface

I think there are SCSI to USB adaptors and I have seen parallel to USB adaptors. You should check your local computer/electronics stores, you should find those there.

I have an old Mustak Paragon scanner with a SCSI interface which I really wanted work. And eventhough, my laptop had a scsi db25 port interface, the drivers refused to work on xp. Time to get a new scanner.
