Well, to prevent someone from putting you 'InFlames' for bumping your thread thrice in 30 minutes (calm down dude)...I'd recommend 'TotalRecorder', although it is $12. Not free, I guess, but you did ask what I use. Audacity (free) might work depending on the stream.

Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment -> Sound Recorder
Any recorder will actually work, that's not the info you need. What you need to know is how to set what is recorded and what is not.

To set all sound to record do something like this:

Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment -> Volume Control

Options -> Properties

Click Recording -> Check Stereo mix -> Click ok

Click the 'Select' box under stereo mix, turn up volume

Now use sound recorder or your favorite sound recording program, anything playing through the speakers will now record.

Replay Music is what I use. You need a streaming service such as Rhapsody or Napster. It is not free. I have no quality issues with it.

Define bad quality on Audacity? I cant say I have ever had that problem for something like this in any of my work that I do professionally when I use Audacity.
