I long ago figured out that the SD card reader on my 3790 is veeeeery picky and would only agree to read a small number of SD cards. I work around this by pluging my camera into the USB port and importing my pictures that way.
But now I have a situation where I have an SD card with pictures I took in my camera, but also a folder of pictures I put on there using a computer with a card reader that was not quite as picky. When I try and get the pictures via USB (using Picasa, Microsoft scanner and Camera Wizard utility, or just Windows Explorer) I can access the pictures I took that are on the card, but not the extra folder.
When I put the card into the reader on my notebook, it says "this card not formatted" and won't read it.
Any ideas for how to get to that folder on the card either via USB or is there any way to get the built in reader to function properly??
