Anyone care to post what tweaks they've used to get the best benchmarks from their inspiron 8200 with mx440 go. Or even just tweaks that will work on that card. Best drivers to use etc. Thanks Ryan

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7486099 4511 seems like im going backwards here. grr

Drivers 4.4.0.3 rolled back from 53.03 from fried toast site. Had probs with them. Screen would go all blue when restoring from sleep mode.

Well appreciate any advice you can give me. Hard drive Uncached speed 0.71 MB/s Is really slow. I think Im going to buy a 7200 for it. Thanks again Ryan

I assume by your system specs your on a budget. 7200 rpm is a bit on the pricey side you would benefit mroe spending that on the Quadro 700 video card your score would double easily thus performance in most games would double. consider the 40 gb 5400 rpm drives from hitachi and toshiba. driver wise hold back until omega is done with his new build on the drivers be sure to look for them here i'll post it in the software section

Why would you assume I was on a budget? lol This laptop is nearly 3 years old. lol Was top of the line when I got it. From what I understand about the quadro it benchmarks good, but actually gets less fps in games with d3d games. Which is 98% what I play. I think the hard drive is about to go thats why I want to replace it with the 7200 60gb drive. Im not on a budget lol. That is a 8200 not a 8600. Two things Id like to do is upgrade to the 2.5ghz processor, and the hard drive. All I was asking for was tweaks for the mx440 cards. Like a specific driver that seems to benchmark highest etc.

your a gamer so says you make the quadro your priority i ganruntee a huge performanc boost (50% minimum in most games) this is based off the 4200 Go that the 8500 and 8600 uses and if youeve seen benchmarks with the mx vs the ti series then you'll knwo what im talking about. regarding what you heard about lower performance people probabaly meant lower compared to the non professional version the actual 4200 go and its really just open for discussion i dont think the performance is really degraded with the two cards there pretty even. make the hardrive 2nd on your list and then the pentium4 2.5ghz the 8200 is a good machine make the bets of it
