Quadro NVS Drivers

Those of you who received a D820, which drivers are you using? I still have the default installed drivers, but I'm sure they suck.

I should receive mines on 15/5, but I’ll probably use the newest WHQL certified drives from nvidia site.
But maybe I'll google a little bit and try some different. I’ll post the results then if the default drives really sucks.

Will the WHQL drivers from nvidia's site work on a modile Quadro?

I must admit, I'm in doubt cos I've just read the forceware quadro user guide and the 110/120M isn't listed there. But hard to believe that nvidia designed a professional business chip without professional drives. Probably the GeForce drives will work as well as 110/120M is actually 7300/7400Go.

I tried the drivers from nVidia's website on my D820, and the installer says it can't find a supported adapter in my system. However, the Omega drivers do appear to work. Only reason I tried the Omegas is because I'm getting some bizarre artifacting in the sky in Battlefield 2. Didn't fix the issue though.

Found any better drivers meanwhile?

You can download pretty much all drivers released whether it be from nvidia, the desktop graphics card vendors or notebook makers from laptopvideo2go,just make sure you download the modded INF file as well,as thats what allows you to install them on a notebook.
I used 84.25 with their modded inf and it improved the gaming quite a lot and got rid of artifacts in the sky in Oblivion, have tried a later 90 series one as well [can't remember which one]but that one did'nt seem as good as 84.25,currently using dells latest one [84.69] as it seems to work best with my 3D software, but will probably go back to 84.25 after I've finished modeling or try a newer one from that site.

I download the 84.25 and I cant find the Driver for it. It just have for the Go 7400 and others.....but not for the NVS m120.

Hi Anthony,I'm not sure what you mean by can't find the driver for it.

Did you download the INF file as well, and then after you unzipped the driver file, drag and drop the inf file [which doesn't need to be unzipped]onto the unzipped driver file which will ask if you want the original inf replaced [click yes],then double click the unzipped driver file that you dropped the inf file in and double click setup?

According to their INF revision history your GPU is supported...
v31.51 Added and fixed support for Quadro 110M and 120M, no longer share PCI-ID, also added AC check.

You might be looking at the original supported GPU codes, which the modded INF should nullify.
Let us know how you go.
