I am new to FRAPS. I managed to get the FPS printing. But I can't seem to get high and low showing as well.

Pre OCing, I was getting an average of 18-20. Even without OCing, the 1710 is insane for Oblivion.

Thats awesome, I was afraid Oblivion would bring my E1705 down to its knees, but I was surpised how well it ran, still not opt at 1920X1200 but I dropped the res one level and it is running in the 30's with everything on and that was just the vanilla 7800 (I think peeps are giving it way too little credit), I cant really tell the difference anyway as it is such a nice looking game, the default detected settings was everything on max but at 1024x768 which I played for a while =) I would love to get a 7900 GS or GTX to play with...

Grats on OC thats quite a huge number...

Well I was scoring 8509 out of the box but with a 2.16ghz and 2gb ram. I would have thought u would still be in the 8000 range. Maybe try the video settings. AA=app pref AF=app pref Image Quality=Quality and Vsync=OFF.

I've got the same config as him and am getting a 7660. Where do you change the settings. I'm pissed.

anyone have about a constant 45% cpu usage when no apps are running?
is that normal? i'm starting to hate my computer.. the dvd drive sometimes makes a lot of noises and so does the harddrive when it is reading data. my m170 never had these issues. Isn't the cpu usage suppose to be at 0%

If no apps are running then yeah my COU usage drops to around 0%. Are u sure nothing is running in the taskbar like a defragmenting program?

Oh to change your display properties just right click on desktop and go to properties/settings/advanced/nvidia geforce tab

what is the "xg" next to you 7900 go gtx mean?

I don't have an "xg" next to it on my m1710 512mb 7900gtx. Is that suppose to be there?

but if I go to device manager it shows up as a 7900gtx

what gives.

That's the driver most likely. Tony's are the 'Xtreme G' drivers, and I bet your drivers will increase your 3D mark score.

You also need to remember that the 3D Mark Score isn't a real world benchmark. If your hard core gaming something like FEAR, Oblivion etc. and you have everything maxed and have no visual issues, then I really wouldn't stress over a number, because that's all it is, a number.

I also have problems with 3dmark out of the box it scored 8450, after reinstall I got 8000 which is driving me crazy, but the games all seem to be the same, I cant notice any real difference. I want to OC the graphics gard but Im a bit of a pc noob, Is it safe enough to go through the steps of ZEB,

What should I do.
