CPU-Z Freezing

Whenever I try to run CPU-Z on my Fujitsu n6410 it freeze the whole think.. just in a couple of seconds.. and I can do nothing but holding the power button down until it turns the thing off.
I thought that this is a memory issue, so I exchanged the two 512 with two 1 gb but still I get that freeze.. I put the fujitsu 512 ddrs in another machine and cpu-z worked.
What concerns me more that on a couple of occasions the system got freezed while playing an mp3.
What might be happening in my new toy?

Edit: I got those freezes every since and a while.. 2-3 per week.. it's very annoying.. the only common thing I can see that produce the freezing is playing a song with volume tend to be high... and ofcourse running cpu-z

Well, you should probably ask this in the Fujitsu section.
What kind of processor do you have?

The Fujitsu section is the most inactive place in this forum, further more I just ask what are the possibilities of a notebook to freeze like this.. not only fujitsu notebook.
Anyway, just two minutes ago I got another freeze... It's not related to heat because this happened in a couple of minutes after I powerd the thing on.. my notebook has a 2300 core duo... I'm very very concerned about this as I'm not in U.S. anymore and sending the laptop will be frustrating physically and emotionally .. please help..

Check your drivers and installed devices in the Device Manager of System Properties. Any of them show the yellow 'Caution' flag? Are there newer drivers? Checked the Fujitsu website for new drivers or patches?

There's no problems in device manager and there's no new drivers, patches... etc..
I can't do a fresh install as I don't have xp mc cds.. but I'm thinking about installing xp professional on the second hdd.. will that help?
do you know any other program that can test the cpu or the memory?

There are some burn-in programs on The Ultimate Boot CD. They run on a tiny Linux or DrDos so test the hardware without Windows possibly interfering.

I clean install would rule out a conflict with other software.

I did a fresh install of xp pro.. At the first boot I went on and run cpu-z and the thing FROZE.. Oh my god.. I'm screwed.. right now I'm getting those freezes about once a day.. other than that everything is alright.. but I can't live with this.. a 2500$ notebook shouldn't be like this... I HATE FUJITSU

Are you sure this version of CPU-Z supports core duo processors? It might be causing a conflict.

Thanks for the reply,
Well.. I installed the cpu-z from it's home page and it's working on my nx9420 and my gf's acer 5672.. both are very similiar laptops..
Above all.. it's not the problem of cpu-z freezing.. cpu-z is the only way that I can use to "generate" that error intentionally. My problem is that the freezes happens while I'm working on the laptop randomly.. although once or twice a day.. but that's still very annoying coupled by the fear of increasing the number.
What are the possiblities of instant freeze? it will just freeze out of blue and won't respond to touchpad or keyboard or anything... any playing mp3 will stuck and produce very ugly and loud noise...
Does anyone know if there's anything I can do/ispect before taking the last and very incovenient step of sending the laptop to fujitsu?

Yes, as I pointed out, get The Ultimate Boot CD (free, Google it) and run som hardware diagnostics and 'stress tests'. That will at least tell you if it's hardware or software (firmware).
