the battery is exactly the same in targa and emachines (at least by my m6805). Difference is the power adapter unit (targa has a higher voltage/amps than emachines)

Please don't tell me I'm STUCK with this (0F09.POO BIOS) and I'm not gonna buy another mobo to fix this problem.....................Gateway & Emachines Tech support tells me that what I did, makes my 7405GX a non OEM, but if that is so, then why does my Gateway Quick Restore DVD w/ XP Home SP2 still work? when I brought that to there attention, they somehow, didn't have an answer........how funny is that, anyway what the heck to they know anyway..........not much, if you ask me, they both are a real JOKE!!!

Your restore disks "should" work still, since the only difference from one bios flavor to the next is the bitmap personalized to each brand. So, technically, a eMachines or Targa or any other restore disk for Arima-based laptops should work too, I'd reckon. At some point, Gateway will also get the 0F09.POO and test it, and put their logo into the rom, and offer it up to the general public. At that point, you can get "their" OEM-branded version, reflash, and be back under warranty, if that's what's bothering you. In the meantime, you should be harassing Gateway to provide the 0F09.POO under their brand.

Expand entry Computer. it should be set 'Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) PC' - reboot! Well That DIDN"T WORK with the 0F09.P00 BIOS, everything else worked find, but, after a few days my 7405GX would FREEZE up, and run very HOT, so all is well, I went back to 52.00.00 BIOS, now, don't have any of those problems anymore, so, That's why, I know that this 0F09.P00 BIOS did work for some of you, but it did little, for my 7405GX and was no geat feat to me.............
