How good are ThinkPad regular (not Flexview) 1400x1050 screens ?

Thread Starter
I'm now contemplating over either Dell D620 and ThinkPad T60, both 14.1" of course.
People are very rave about ThinkPad's new Flexview screen (only available on 15" models), however to preserve better portability (and apparently battery life), I'm leaning towards 14" models. So, is ThinkPad's T60 SXGA+ (1400x1050) non-Flexview screen as good as any of its counterparts (among matte screens of course) ? Isn't it worse of Dell's D620 screen ?

Most brands get their supplies (i.e. panels) from the same manufacturers, so quality will be about the same for similar specifications (glossy/non glossy, etc).

I like the 14" size as well but want the Flexview. I asked a Lenovo rep if he knew of any 14" models coming out soon that will have Flexview. He said he knew of some coming out "shortly". He didn't have an exact date. I will wait a month or two longer to see what is in store... Now if Lenovo would just put an S-video and Firewire into the t60, they would have the perfect laptop.
