Hi there, I have recently become enamored with Tablet PC's. I use photoshop to draw and paint, and I would love the functionality of a tablet. I currently have an athlon 1800+ with 768 RAM and 200 gig HD
My first step: I posted on Craigslist asking about them, and immediately got an offer of an Motion LE1600 for $650. A little above my savings, but... I met with him. The 'small case crack' was the whole corner with the kensington lock slot missing, and I couldn't get online, and the guys name wasn't the same as the login guys name... so I walked. I went on ebay and again got phished at. Now, I'm in love with that laptop, but it's way out of my price range if it isn't hot.
So here's the deal, I work at Trader Joes, I have been unemployed for a while before this, and I need dentistry and glasses, clothes, etc. So I need to save towards some other things. I've been saving for a computer for three months, and all I have is $500. (Yeah, you do much better on 9.50/hour for thirty five hours a week!8o) I mostly use computers for photoshop, quark, SMAC, and downloading porn. (Well, at least I'm honest.) I do expect to upgrade the HD and RAM after I sell my current system, which is a bit slow for me, but not drastically.
So any offers? Any reccomendations? Am I out of my gourd? Any models I should be looking for? What should I avoid? What do I need to read or know to make an informed decision?
