ah so its definately not the plugin, because winamp uses a different plugin. I sugeest you post in the regular forum. Just get rid of creative drivers and install sigmatel and try that.

Not Yet. I wrote the app before the 1710 existed so didnt support the Touchpad LED. I don't have a 1710 so touchpad support is not my priority at the moment but may get added when all my other projects are completed.

Great!!

Thanks again for all your hard work!

I've got .NET 1.1 & 2.0, XP Pro, WMP11 and all Creative drivers/software uninstalled and everything is running perfectly. I previously had problems with crackly audio whilst using the plugin with winamp and wmp however on uninstalling all Creative software the problem is now nonexistant. Can't change any of the bass settings with just the Sigmatel drivers it seems, so I might grab that SRS util that was posted earlier otherwise great app

As you know i coded my app before the m1710 was released so it doesnt control the touchpad LED. However ITZBITZ who originally wrote the dll to interface with the LEDs has said he is prepared to add the touchpad LED support, in turn I will then add code to the control app.

However, neither of us have a m1710 so we need a few moment help of a m1710 user (who is slightly computer literate). All we need is for the person to run a free app called API monitor (we will provide the settings) and slide the quickset led changing sliders up a few times then save the data APIMonitor generates from that we can see what calls are been generated to control the touchpad.
Sign me up!!! I'm slightly computer literate, and i've an XPS M1710,.. and would love to have the touchpad light working with your otherwise excellent software. What do you want me to do? The touchpad LED is not only red,.. no option to change the colour,.. but with your existing software it switches off!!! Send me a download link for the API monitor, and the settings, and i'll see if i can figure it out!

veritas80 you need to use winrar to extract the file. it seems like you are just trying to extract the files using the program that came with XP. you can download winrar from many places. and then just chhose to use it when extracting .rar files like this one.

I can't get the file to work either and I am using Winrar, its saying the archive is corrupt, so maybe you just need to post it again? I really want this application sounds really cool:
