Dont listen to other people - SLI in highest resolutions and with all eye candy effects turned on can give u easily 50-100% more FPS Check reviews on Tomsharware or any other competent site
Peace out

What are you taking about with overheating issues? Mine runs perfectly cool and heat is not an issue? I have not seen a major issue on this either. SLI support on the 7900GS, I think people should wait and see some benches first. I read Toms and there is not a 50-100% increase.

You won't have to deal with bios flashing to overclock the video card and the system costs less fully equipped. The M1710 is overpriced for what it offers, it's not worth more than $2300 tops.

You sir are wrong, why would you want sli 7900 gs when you can get a single card solution that is stilll very very good? The 1600 x 1200 is holding the aw back... so why would you waist anywhere from 2.5-3.5 k on a laptop that has sli and it will be outdated in a couple of months? I mean the dell xps m1710 will probaly be upgradeable when like the 8000 gtx comes out. Also the heat is crazy on those sli laptops. First of all sli in a desktop gets hot unless you have good air cooling or wc'ing or if your that XTREME phase changing. Now lets put sli in a notebook with maybe some fans and lets convince them not to buy a 3 year warranty because of the cost is because they don't wanna blow extra $$$$ when they think their laptop will be perfect when they get it... right? Look at the general aw or area 51 and aurora notebooks section. I bet you 50 % of those or the "Newcomers," who think their laptop will be perfect but when they get it something is wrong. (i.e. gpu fan not working, bad video card, gets very warm, and pretty bad cs) There ya go!

Actually, I just priced this as close as I could to my m90 (the one in my sig). The final price for the sager was $2862. I paid just under $3000 for my m90 with the d/dock and a 3100cn Laser printer that my rep added for $100 (so let's say that's $2900). Let's also throw in that I could not come close to my Dell warranty with the Sager. My price included a 4 year mobility plan (that includes CC) and the sager was 2-year limited on site and 3 year ADP.

I'm sure had I wanted one, I could have gotten an m1710 instead of the m90 for the same price at the time.

I have to say that the sager does have some options I like, such as the integrated tv tuner and the optional second HD. So it's a great alternative to the m1710 But I wouldn't say its the same but cheaper Perhaps on level ground is more like it.

I will give you some props though 5150 . That is without having to hagle to get that price for the Sager, so perhaps it is the better deal for the regular joe who doesn't know how to bend dell to get what they want

you have a 7900 GTX in ur 1705?
No. 7900 GS, but the price difference is over 600 ish, not even counting my 4yr warranty.
That's probably why he was comparing it to the m1710 and not the e1705 And not to mention, go and price it without your coupons. Its kinda unfair to compare a sale price to a regular price anyways. Though I bet you'll still get it for less. I priced my M90 for the same price as that sager, but it does have some sweet options like the optional 2nd hard drive and internal tv tuner.

You know all of this talk about a TV tuner, makes me wonder do you actually use your computer to watch tv or Record tv? And if you're using it to watch TV why are you buying a a TV tuner? For the Price I would much rather invest into a SlingBox. I just ordered one on Monday, I hope it works well for me. The Reviews are great for it. Less Wires less everything.

Hands down for Slingbox-thing is amazing for 250 bucks (I got it when it came out)
Configuring may be little tricky, depending on your router. I love to watch tv in my office time to time.

Got a question about this sling box.

How is the picture quality? It says it can run on more than one pc.. however can each pc watch a different channel?

Thats pretty much it. Is it worth the 250?
The instore demo I saw showed awesome picture quality, I mean it's not like it's HD or anything but it's still better then alot of TV tuners out there, especially the USB based TV tuners. Keep in mind the HUGE list of awards this device has gotten. These awards are nothing to laugh at, I mean if you actually spend a few mins to go through, you might be impressed.

Quality REALLY depends on your network. It's not HD, but IMO it's pretty darn good.

You can ONLY WATCH 1 CHANNEL-WHICHEVER CHANNEL YOUR CABLE IS ON-

Best part is you can watch TV ANYWHERE at Home-I use it alot in bathroom LOL.

If you are away from home, don't expect to get good quality since it will really depend on your ISP's upload speed.

Make sure to do some research before the purchase though. See if your Cable box is compatable-You need it for remote thingy to work properly.

For TV/Movies anywhere one could simply use the Orb. That's what I use when I'm not home and I want to access my movies and music via the internet.

Maxed out w/ the 3yr warranty, it's $87 cheaper than what I paid for my maxed-out M1710 on eBay. My M1710 has a 512MB GPU, the 5760 has a 256MB.

I think the M1710 wins
I don't think you have to use it to beat that deal. I think it's possible to get the deal via Deall since their 1st QTR profit was dismal and are eager to sell. Just saying ebay vs that website isn't really fair.

As for Orb, can you watch TV(live) on that?
Here's what basically the Slingbox can do
Watch live tv/utilize OnDemand service if you have it on your cable.
Both from in/out of home.

I think it's pretty good deal for 250. I also read you can use it on smartphones if you have it.

Does this sling box have built in wireless G? So I just hook up my cable box to this. Connect/Configure it using my wireless router. Load software on my PC and thats it?
I don't think it has built in wireless adaptor.
