i use o&o defrag v8 professional, and it is by far the best defrag program ive ever used. however, i am confused on which of the 3 complete methods to use for my laptop (9300 with 80gb 8mb cache samsung 5400rpm). Ive been told to use complete/name but others say complete/access. for those unfamiliar, compelte/name sorts all the files on your disk alphabetically, so what it ends up doing it putting all c:/windows files in the same lump, as well as any gamefiles all together, and that sounds dandy no? but then theres also complete/access, which puts the least accessed files on the head of your disk, and the most accessed on the outside, so the files you access the most are all together and the bithead doesnt have to jump around so much. im just confused on which one to use for my disk, which is usually used to play games but i do download large files once in awhile. any ideas anyone?
