Cheapest place to get an Ipod Nano

I looking at buying an Ipod Nano within the next couple of days and was wondering if any of you internet shopping gurus out there would be willing to help me out by finding me a decent deal on the 2gb version.

When I buy something in electronics I know there are always good deals out there, you just have to look for them!

If you can get a student discount off of it, that would make it a decent deal.

.....our electronics store in our University Center had the Nanos and I got like 20-30$ off.

Another option is e-bay. You could get lucky and win a low bid. Weathwer or not you want to take the risk is up to you.

ya for some reason there isnt much of a price variance online and retail where ipods r concerned. dont know why. demand maybe. some stuff, like digital cameras, plasmas etc have deeper discounts online.
i'd say if u can get a $20-$30 discount, buy it retail from a well known store. cause there was also a problem with the first batch of nanos, defective screen and such. wouldnt wanna get stuck with one of those on fleabay.

Apple has price controls for it's retailers.
