It's currently running well at 2.26 and undervolted. Is the core duo/950 chipset much faster? I'm hesistant as the AUO screen doesn't seem as good as the Quanta. My quanta screen is my first dell screen I don't use at full brightness and it has no sparklies. Also are the batteries interchangeable? Thanks!

i dont see the point in upgrading to a e1405, it will cost you a little over $1000 and all you will be getting is a 1.6 dual core and a wxga+ screen. you would also be loseing the a/b/g wireless card and only be getting a b/g card. this is not that big of a deal because not that many palces use "A" bandwidth anymore.

Actually I paid 660 for my XPS M140 and only 603 dollars for my e1405.

I paid only $70 more for my e1405 than the m140 I returned. I figured for that amount it was worth the dual core processor and higher resolution screen.

What bag/sleeve are you guys using for your E1405?? I'm trying to find a sleeve...any suggestions would be great.

Get the 15" Targus sleeve at Best Buy (if they still sell it). Very thin and light - perfect for carrying it in a backpack or shovel it in the passengers seat without much care.
