calling peeps with 2nd HDD...

So you got the 2nd HDD into your 9300, and for you DVD burner you put it in a USB 2.0 enclosure right?

If so were you be able to install windows XP or Vista by booting off of the DVD-ROM?

yes, you can boot from the dvd/cd rom connected to the usb.

yep, i believe press f12 on boot to select boot device. should show usb device or external storage.
