yea yea.. It may not be something you need to know, but it may save a few people some confusion some time down the road.. Thats why it's always important to report your findings or solutions, even if you figure it out on your own. even if the info seems useless to some or most, if it helps one person in the future, it makes it worth posting.

I *believe*the Solos are 65nm, as well - compared to the 90nm Dothans.

EDIT: They are 65nm. The first-generation Meroms are evidently going to be 65nm as well, the second generation MIGHT be 45nm (but it would be just like Intel to make that the "Extreme Edition" version).

its not THAT much of an improvement i dont think, I would take core solo over pentium M b/c then you can upgrade to merom or at least core duo

The cache optomisation is also different. The Core solo will do encoding tasks much quicker than the Dothan.
