all USB2? but only 1 port shows as such?

Maybe fooled by marketing, but

Acer TravelMate marketing still shows that the 8106WLMi has 4 USB2 ports.

The system actually only shows 1 (left side next to firewire).
The 3 on the right side only show up as standard USB

Anyone else with the same?
Or even better, a solution?
Is it just attaching USB2 drivers to the 3 ports (assuming that's possible, e.g. by changing the PID and VID in the INF-file)

All 4 are USB2. There are 4 Universal Host controllers and 1 Enhanced Host (USB2) controller, the latter sits on top of all 4, so each one works as USB2.
When you connect USB2 device to any of the 4 connectors, USB2 controller handles protocol, if device is USB 1.1 control is passed to one of the universal USB host controllers.

Anyway, all 4 function as USB2.

Thanks Maestro, that explains it all, including the speed if more than 1 USB device is attached.
