The RAM problems the 1013 had in the past were usually White Screens of Death, and occurred using the 400mhz RAM.

What have you installed lately (software)? Or is this a fresh build? Most blue screens tend to be software related conflicts. Uninstall any funky programs you have put on there lately.

If it's a new build, you can try the latest bios from MSI (4.31), which will allow you to set the RAM speed down to 333mhz, but i don't think it is the problem in your situation.

the system is not stable, most likely a ram problem, do memtest for 24hours and then go goldmem for 24hours, if you come up with an error its the ram, if not its probably the CPU, so do prime95 for 48 hours (make sure to use a cooling pad)

i got that same error when i OC'd my desktop too far, it runs stable for a couple hours then i get it. if your bios has an option try lowering the ram speed to 333 or lower

If you look he Has ddr 333 ram so how would he turn it down to 333 if its there. I think thats why he supplied the links to what he bought

HEY... I just ordered a MS 1013 and just now I had the same problem.. What happened was when I took it off AC power and started to edit my word doc.. I used the touch pad to scroll up and down, then it locked up and gave me the BSOD as his did. I restarted it and tried the same thing... without power... word doc, it did the same. Once I put it on power and did it it didnt happen, I duno if it was just by chance or not but i wil continue to try it out. My RAM is Crucial 400Mhz ddr, CPU is Turion MT34... I did memtest for an hour or so and no errors, and last night I did prime95 for 6 hours and no error. It is strange...

OK new update... I was testing the system by just doing your everyday stuff (internet, solitare, ect..) and I clicked start and shut down.. it like locked up in the process, but i still had control of the mouse n' such, but no reaction to clicking or anything (it had the hourglass pointer). So I held the power button till it turned off.. I went to reboot and it starts loading windows (the lil bar going side to side) but nothing happens... i look at the hdd light and notice there is no activity.. I reboot and try again.. still no hdd activity while trying to boot into windows... I pull the thing apart and remove/add the ram.. and it works now. So yea, I dont think it is a prob with the cpu/hdd/or ram.. just compatibility.

ANYWAY, I d/l the BIOS install.. but how do I go about updating it now? It has a .431 file, a .bat, and a .exe. Any help? Thanks.
