Cons:

-the palmrest fades fairly easily

-the speakers SUCK
-it's already outdated

Speakers Suck....Even aux. speakers.

Screen has a VERY specific viewing angle horizontally.

Fan sounds like a 747 spooling up sometimes.

Warm. But this doesn't bother me. To be expected with 7200 HD and 2.13CPu

Did I mention SPEAKERS SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW,

can't believe we have gotten to the point where 6 months is already outdated. We definatly are quite the demanding crowd.

Well Muddy I understand the speakers suck but I read in a review that headphones work great. Or even hooking a surround system works too. I don't really care about the mounted speakers. Unless you go for a 15lbs monster you won't find any laptop with good speakers, so I would use hedphones or external skeakers anyway.

I am still thinking about geting this baby. Another huge Pro is the great deals you can get on it since "its outdated". Personally since this is not my decked out machine but something very good for school. I happily change the core duo and extra gpu for the 500-600 bucks and more battery life.

I have "15 Lb Monsters" hooked up to it and I have it turned ALL the way up and it is on a scale of loudness at about a 3-4 out of 10.
Thats not right.

As outdated goes, a friend of mine works for Oracle and her favorite saying is " It's already 1 year old technology before it even ships to retailers". So true.

I was done LONG AGO trying to beat the electronics clock and stay ahead.

Anyway, If I dont get to the root of the volume problem mine is going up 4 sale.

i don't want to be running a powerhouse gaming computer on a small itty bitty laptop with poor cooling.

so outdated is fine.

as long as it sports the directx 9 ready intel chip. sucks, but better than its predecessors.

all iw ant to do is do office work with the laptop.

i have a spiffy desktop at home for the gaming.

thanks for the input folks ^_^
