Has this happened to anyone before....dell has lost my xps140 in transit and they are sending me a xps m1710 at no extra charge and my xps was $800 and this one is $2600 is that great or what ??

Damn! Thats a sweet deal!

I emailed them last night for a replacement board for my 9300 since the headphone jack is dead. A common thing I guess since I've seen dozens of people post about it. I was in hopes they didn't have any in stock to get an upgrade of some sorts but they have a replacement shipped out today for me. Tis ok and cant complain with the quickness of their parts service!

Either way for most its win win. If they have the part you get it quickly if they dont have the part then you get something better!

nice.....the thing is its not very light is it lol...and all i actually play is HaLo, any one kno any other good pc games i should consider buying ??

I agree, they have plenty of other replacements, like the 1505, 1705, that are all better than the XPS m140, Dell is great about replacing notebooks when they don't have a replacement, but to give their top of the line model, seems a bit fishy to me.

Dell only replaces the same system you have or will upgrade you one model up bc your model isn't currently sold anymore. why would they give you a $2500 laptop for $800? answer is they won't haha. and your jokingkel.

no im seriouse...i guess its bcuz they stopped selling the m140... when i told the lady i was getting a m1710 she was lyk u r correct and i told her y ? and she said she is giving me an upgrade and sending it by nextday delivery. i guess she felt kinda bad for me since its taking almost a month since i ordered my laptop and still havent recieved it :-/ i didnt believe it either but then again im not going to tell them. they better send me a m140 lol. and my name is kool wat r u trying to say :-P. i just hope they dont lose this package in transit again

soo they lost the m140 while they were shippng it to you? can the reps have the power to ship an expensive laptop? i dont think so lol.

just post pics when you get it w/ ur original m140 invoice.

no it wasnt the reps that r sending it to me. i think its costumer service because in the email it says costumer service.... because i had sent them an email saying how can they lose my laptop and how long is it going to take and blah blah blah ..
