How to enter Advanced Menu in BIOS

Thread Starter
Computer is: Acer 4021
BIOS is:
PhoenixNote BIOS 4.0 Release 6.1
System BIOS Ver S3A28
VGA BIOS Alviso 1219

I've a new laptop, and wanted to do a clean Windows install, starting from repartitioning the harddrive, and eventually changing some BIOS settings.

When I enter BIOS, all menus except Advanced are available.
The "Advanced" menu says:
"All items on this menu cannot be modified in user mode.
If any items require changes, please consult your system supervisor"

Anyone have any ideas how to get in to it?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

When entering BIOS you provided password. It seems your laptop was setup with different passwords for user and administrator. Type in administrator password when entering BIOS to access everything.

There is also another 'advanced' feature in Phoenix BIOS: sometimes not all parameters are available/visible in Advanced submenu/screen; press Ctrl+F1 in main screen then reenter Advanced screen - now these items should show up.

Did you get this figured out?

I have the *exact* same problem on a Panasonic R4 that I just bought from someone (it is 3 months old, originally from Dynamism). I have asked everyone (Dynamism, Phoneix, and the original owner), and I can't get a straight answer.

My BIOS is: Phoenix BIOS V3.00L10
