It surely better be worth it. Here are the specs I got on it:

Pentium®M Processor,1.6 GHz,15.4 in WSXGA+ Qty:
64MB Dell USB Memory Key and Floppy Drive
2 Year Limited Warranty plus 2 Year At-Home Service
Operating System Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional
512MB,333MHz 2 DIMM
Special Offer Special Offer - $150 off online purchase
Dell TrueMobile™ 1300 WLAN (802.11b/g, 54Mbps) miniPCI Card
Hard Drive 60GB Ultra ATA Hard Drive
Network Card Integrated 10/100 Network Card and Modem
CD ROM/DVD ROM 24X CD-RW/DVD Combo Drive with Sonic RecordNow
Video Card 128MB ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9600 PRO Turbo

I know it will be a darn good puter I'm just scared to death about the screen and keyboard issues.

Dont worry about it. The I8600 is a solid performing machine for the price.

The best thing about Dell is that you can return within 30 days if you dont like it.

Only 1.6? Nah, they'll be making 4GHz Centrinos with 8MB L2 Cache that run for days and have holographic screens

I think Sager had one of those 4GHz Centrinos a while back. Threw it back in - too small
