Transparency Effect for E1505? How?

A quick search turned up nothing for me... on the XPS2, it wasnt too tough to enable this feature. Thanks Nvidia!

The main thing Im looking for is NOT VISTA, but rather transparency options for when a window is dragged around the screen... when released, its not transparent anymore.

The E1505 is different - uses ATI and I dont see where to enable such a feature (if its even available). Any ideas? Would prefer to not use a skinning program or goofy 3rd party program. I have the ATI Tray Tools if that helps.

I'm guessing that it is a function of the video drivers and that ATI doesn't currently have it. Unfortunately, that would mean your stuck with using a third party app, or living without it.

Oh and what's that crappy Buick doing on your wallpaper?

I've never heard of Nvidia having anyhting like that, so it's news to me. I hope you find something similar for ATi as that would be a pretty cool feature.

Looking for something like this... prefer not to install "extra" software to make it happen but open to ideas.

Here is a link for a program called glass2k. It is additional software, but it is a small download. It is freeware and allows you to have transparent windows as well as transparent toolbars. You can adjust the level of transparancy.

There is a program called Actual Transparent Window that has an option which enables transparency while dragging windows. Unfortunately it's only shareware.
