My laptop is coming tuesday!!! WOOHOO!!!

What's the best brand of ram/place to order 2 sticks of 1gb 667mhz ram to swap out the 2x 512mb I have in my dell?? A link to it would be nice! THANKS!

p.s.
I know newegg is good but there are just too many choices, crucial, corsair, patriot, gskill... etc, which one should I get? THANKS!

Hey man, I don't think your going to find a better deal than this:

http://shop2.outpost.com/product/477...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG

667mhz 1GB - $80 a stick!

I was pointed to the above with a similiar question, someone with more RAM experience might know something I don't but it says it's tested at 667mhz, what else could be wrong?

Let me know what you guys think.

I ALSO REMEMBERED something else, last week i saw a thread about people who bought 667mhz ram for their e1705/9400 but it ended up running at 533 for some reason, anyone know how i can avoid that??? THANKS!

This is what I bought:

http://shop2.outpost.com/product/478...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG

They did not have the Corsair at my store, but I had 2 of the 1gig 533mhz DDR2 Corsair in my 9300 and had some issue with it. This Patriot ram ran 12 hrs on memtest86 with no errors and no lockups like I got with the Corsair in my 9300.

Do u guys think the prices of 667 memory will stay about the same, or will go down in the next few months?
I'm asking because I want to upgrade to 2gb also, but was planing to do so when I swap my yonah with a merom..
If the prices should stay in the 10$ frame there is no need to wait that long is it?

It should stay about the same in the next 3 months (within $10) just get it now, it's not there is going to be a ram higher than 667mhz any time soon to make the price drop.

I mean it's only $10, why not...

I think 800MHz is on the horizon, anyone else heard that?

just realize the link you gave me on the corsair ram could be out of stock...

it says call for availability, what do they usually mean by that??????
Aw crap, didn't even realize that!

Sorry dude! Call them up and ask them what the deal is!

I checked that link out about 2 weeks ago, it was in stock then

My bad dude, Newegg may be your best bet!

Hmm.. this looks like a sweet deal..
http://shop2.outpost.com/product/478...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG

I read some reviews on newegg and patriot seems to be better than corsair.

I think I'll jump on it if someone doesent find a better deal
