The MSI S271 and barebones 1058B is ETA 5/22/06

just an estimated date, but looks good.

Prebuilt S271 will have optional copper-orange lid.
12" WXGA, TL50, 80gb/5400, 512mb ddr2/533, dvd super-multi, 802.11g/BT, XP home, 8cell battery around $1149.00

1058b is only in white so far.

well i'd pass on the optional copper colored lid...but other than that it sounds pretty good for a 12 inch notebook.

OMG Mate, this is the beginning of a Post-Cold War Russian counter-attack. We must stop giving them early release computer parts and NUCLEAR PROCESSORS

spec booklet...
Im guessing about $1600 max for the fastest x2, 2gb memory, 160gb hd. etc.

MSI 1058 plus the TL-52 for $902. That's the cheapest I've found it.

I've been looking around. I'm going to buy the Ram off new egg. 1 gig ddr2 667 for $70 after rebates. THe only thing I will wait for is the HDD to come down in price.
I have an old 40 gb 5400 I will test this baby with next week.
is that the cheapest out there $650 for an msi 1058 barebones?
That's I've seen ya.
Most other shops are charging $700+ for it.
