I have a 27" Syntax Olevia in perfect condition that I have been thinking about selling to get a bigger unit. Where are you located....I have all the original packaging for the unti but the box is fairly big...no idea what shipping would run.

I've seen them as low as $500 and the 32" as low as $800. I have a 32" myself...amazing TV for the price.

Hope this helps.

The Syntax Olivia rock for the price, I bought a 26" as its brighter than the 27" for $565, I saw them at our local Micro Center for $500 after mail in rebate.

They're $500 without the rebate now.

Cool, it's also important to remember that a new HDTV must be HDCP complient or it will not play HD DVD and Blue Ray, the Syntax is HDCP complient. A lot of more expensive units are not.

thanks for letting me know that techaholic and thanks everyone else for the input!

No prob, IMHO there's going to be a class action against all the HDTV's that have been sold that do not meet this standard. They all knew it was coming. Think about all the high $$ units sold that can't play HD content when HDCP is enforced

Syntax's are a very good brand for the price..the only issue I had was getting one without a dead/stuck pixel. I would rather watch a 12" B&W tv then a flat panel with a pixel staring back at me..yeah I have issues I bought and returned 4 TV's at Fry's to finally get one that had zero dead pixels The picture is stunning though.

In case everyone doesn't know by now, phillips outlet has quite a bad rep around the web. I would NEVER buy from them, just remember you get what you pay for.

There are a few people who have had good experiences with them, but like I said you are taking a risk.

any elaboration on that? scratch and dent, broken, or what?

the price just went up ~$150...

I would recommend googling it.. The most common thing was poor packaging and the item arriving broken. Then huge wait times on the phone to try and return the broken item. Most of the complaints were for refurbished equipment, but I still wouldn't want to deal with them.

Also not too long ago they purposely posted the wrong price for a television just to get people's mailing addresses.
