How long does your laptop run on battery

Just out of curiosity, if you have A64 desktop processor in your laptop (zv6000, R3000/4000/5000), how long do you get out of your battery? (please specify size of the battery).

I've been trying undervolting my A64 3200+ (1GHz at 0.9 volts). I still only get about 1 hour 40 minutes out of my 8 cell battery...

I had a zv6000 with an AMD 3500+ CPU and I would get 3 hours 30 minutes on a 12 cell.

I get 2.5-3.5 hours depending on what I am doing. I use the screen on max brightness most of the time with wireless on. I have the 12-cell battery. I usually get about 3 hours of normal use like internet browsing. I get 3.5 hours if I just let it sit with the screen on.

My battery wasn't calibrated correctly when I posted this. The 8 cell battery actually gives ~ 2 Hr of battery life. By simple proportions, i wouild expect 12 cells to give 3 Hr +. This is not too bad considering it's a fast computer.

My DV5020us runs 2 hours and 45 minutes. (But I had to lower Turion voltages)

My HP DV5000 with standard 6 cell battery runs about 2.5 hrs on normal use, which for me is developing in say Visual Studio2005 and havng say some documentation like word, excel and a few other apps running at the same time. I will also have music running with my headphones plugged in. It's OK, but wish it could be better!

If I am doing more intensive tasks like using the DVD drive, and heavy CPU orientated tasks, I can burn through the battery in a about 1.5 hours. On the other end of the scale I have pushed the battery to a little over 3.5 hours when I was letting it run tasks over a wireless network, even leaving the screen turned on. that was impressive, but a one off at this point in time.
