Ok...so lemme get this straight...

Im in the market for a thin/light/portable laptop with some average gaming ability. After a little research this is what i have found to be either available now or in the near future.

Asus W7J - 13.3in XGA, Go7400 128mb, Camera

Asus W3J - 14.1in WXGA, X1600 256mb, 1.2in thick

Dell XPS M1210 - 12in WXGA, Go 7300? 128mb (Go7400? X1300/1400?), Camera

Sony SZ - 13.3in WXGA, Go7400 128mb, Camera, Biometric

this is everything i have found that is pretty much spot on with what im looking for. The W3J looking very very nice (they even have on on zipzoomfly.com for 1799 i believe).

I'm just wondering if i missed any? Or is this pretty much "THE LIST"

I don't think that's all but you've got the best picks down. Asus build quality is outstanding.

does anyone know is the Asus W3J and W7J are or will ever be offered as "white books" or is it like a preimum model from Asus so it has to come preconfigured?

They're part of the Ensemble series. I don't think they'll be configurable. Why? What would you change?

W3J hands down out of your list. I'd love to have that laptop, but it's slightly out of my budget. I might save up towards the end of the year and get it though if my finances work out like I want them to. Completely kickass laptop though I would prefer a better resolution than 1280x768.

Is that you "LarryHughes?"

Ive been researching a powerful light laptop for a couple of months now. Ive been adding all vaguely interesting lappys to my favorites. Now its so full Ive had to make an "A list" folder for easier reference. It contains the W3J, the SZ and the M1210.

So I would say you have pretty much wrapped it up.

Edit: Why, maybe theres more

Dell Latitude D620, 14.1" WXGA/+, 256 Quadro.

BENQ S73, 14.1" WXGA, 256 X1600.
