macbook video question

Thread Starter
a friend of mine just pointed out that the new macbooks are out which im happy to hear, but im a little hesitant to buy one. if i where to install windows on it, would it be able to run hl2/cs:s on it? the card it uses is a "Intel GMA 950 graphics processor with 64MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with main memory"....doesnt sound too promising. has anyone ran hl2 on a macbook?

Considering they were announced like three hours ago, nobody was actually seen a Macbook. From expirience, gaming on a small notebook like this is less than ideal anyway.

whoops. i thought the pro used the same video card, my mistake :P

you might be able to run it since I am assuming the video card is top quality even for an integrated one, but you probably won't be able to run the games on the highest of settings.

Weeeeell, if your into game or 3D animation (like myself) Intel GMA monkey balls. That a very low end graphic entry level card . Pay the extra money and go with either Nvidia or ATI.

The GMA are always shared memory or I call steal from the mobo memory. Where dedicated memory will not touch on board memory. Tho one downfall, your battery preformance downgrades with cards like Nvidia/ATI

well the video runs off of the mobo but since its duel core it could be possible to have one process the video and the other do everything else. as for WOW i dont think the computer can run it and for cs1.6 well....steam is a windows only app.
