My hunch is that it probably had heat problems with the 7900. My last system, a 5205-s705, was also on the market for about only a month or so, mainly because it had major heat problems. Being the first system to carry an FX 5600 probably did it; the fact that they put the 5600 right under the optical drive with no effective cooling solution didn't help, either.

That's odd if it's discontinued then why is it still on the Toshiba website? I would like to know where you got this information. This is the laptop I hope to buy as my current laptop will lag when playing some new games on low settings.

i dont believe it has been.... they are selling very quickly.

as well it is possible that if for some reason it has been there will be an improved version in the near future

It probably won't be officially announced for a few days, wouldn't want to scare customers away from buying the ones already in stores.Costco already pulled all of theirs in store and on their websites.

I Just called my rep from toshiba...he said that it is cause they ran out of supplies, and he wasnt too sure on when they will get all of them in stock(truth or lie..i dont know)......

i have one on its way(bought it about 2 days ago), and im feeling kinda uneasy now... i would of bought a dell(inspiron 1705 w twice the memory and a 7200 rpm hd), but their financing sucks majorly, and the interest would cost me waaay too much!
Adios!
