Macbook Battery Life

Thread Starter
According to the comparison sheet off apple's website, the Macbook offers "up to 6 hours" of battery life versus the MBP's 4.5 hours. Certainly due to integrated garphics and the smaller screen, correct?

I can't wait for ars, anand, cnet, etc reviews on this thing... if the MBP could get about 3 hours under typical usage (which seems to be the case) then the MB should get about 4, which is excellent IMO.

What you said sounds like a pretty good guess. I'm with you waiting for some nice reviews.

From their wireless page:

MacBook offers up to 6 hours of battery life. (Up to 2.5 hours of DVD playback, and up to 3.5 hours with wireless turned on.)

I don't mean to hijack this thread but, does the MBP (15inch) really get 4.5 hours of battery life? That is INCREDIBLE if it does!

It doesn't get 4.5 hours. It probably gets 3 hours of normal usage.

What about if it had the screen dimmed, and the WiFi and bluetooth turned off?

3 hours is probably about the amount of time you'll get. I don't have a MBP, but I think that i what I have read.

Very last paragraph, it got nearly 5 hours.

It's still good for a 15inch book.
