did you just all mac owners are rich? LOl! my mom got an imac in like 1999 for free and we are not rich. Also the new macbook (not the mbp) is in black or white. It looks very good but for a 1 gb upgrade its 230! I could 2 gb of ram for that price and still have like 50-70 $ left over. i like mac because whenever my pc is screwed up or has an overheating problem or has a virus, i can always count on my mac to be reliable. I am not a fanboy i just like them.

RE the one button touch pad...with the new 17" MBP you can get a right click by hitting the trackpad button with 2 fingers...and, I believe it is possible to set up the Macs to recognize a tap as a right click (I know it's possible with older PowerBooks)...

A few business articles have pointed to AW's de facto competition with the Mac. With AW's apparent targeting of the graphic/video pros, it makes sense. All the more reason for Dell to have scooped them up when they did.

well I mean that people who actually buy the macs are rich...I just assumed that people understood me, sorry

new macbooks have new style KB, read a few bashes of it and a few so-so's on it, Id have to touch it myself, but I always did hate the old ultra mushy ones they used, hope this is better

I played with one today at the local Apple Store. From a design point of view - it's very nice. The case feels VERY sturdy and I liked the keyboard and finish.

The performance appeared about on par with my Sentia M3200 - so I don't think that I will be jumping ship anytime soon. Besides, as Mr. Head stated (in his own way) why buy a Mac to run Windows?

I would like to see future Sentias have the same sturdy feel (especially as a business user/abuser). Also, I would like to see JUST the alien head on the cover (with the grips) - leaving out the big ALIENWARE. I see that the new SLI notebooks have only the head - which really is sufficent from a branding point of view. The Mac has the Apple logo only, and I think that it looks very nice.

Just my thoughts.

B/C Some peeps like myself also need a unix operateing environment, and Ill take OSX over any distro of linux even with a gun to my head!!!

hey, he got what he wanted so i say lets just say good for you hope your happy. i dont kick your ass up and down just cause you eat cheerios instead of frosted mini wheats (its frosted, AND good for you goddamnit!). he bought it already so if theres a problem he'll experience it himself and be better for it. i hate haters.

p.s. if you want to hate on something, then hate on that comic. ctrl alt delete is a good webcomic but that particular one isnt that funny! jeezus.

As Arch said, I bought the Mac for OSX not Windows.
UNIX is superior and my favourite OS. I dont know if I'll even do a native Windows install, probably wont, may just run it in virtualisation.

Why use Windows when you can have OSX?

In my case I need windows, and still prefer it to OSX on most levels, my choice is that I must choose a unix OS to accompany my windows useage. Ill take OSX! And with the exception of voodoo and AW, no pc laptop has the sexy of apple's!!!
