Satellite A45-S120 Power Jack - Arrrrrrgh

Broke a pin in the power jack. Finding that it is very difficult locating parts for this model let alone the power jack itself. I found this community board while searching for the power jack.
Any suggestions - any one else have to replace the jack?

Best I can tell right now, is that I may need to replace the motherboard. Thanks for your time and help!

the jack is part of the motherboard, it's wires are soldered right to the logic. I can either sell you a replacement part that will have to be soldered on for $35.00 shipped, or I can fix it for you for $110.00 shipped

That’s fantastic. I would probably just get the jack, I have an IT guy that should be able to solder it on for me. I will have to get back to you tomorrow.

Looks like the motherboard is cooked and I will need to replace. Thanks for the quick reply. Now I just need to find out which is board is compatible

Why not look on EBay for another A45 S120 with a damaged screen. That way, you will get your new mobo and other spare parts which you may eventually be able to use
